Email me at TexasTollers@gvtc.com for our puppy buyer form. I haven't figured out how to get it linked to this page yet. LOL
There is a lot that goes into our breedings. Our dogs have had all the health tests available to Tollers. We make sure that, if we breed to another dog outside of our family, they are health tested too and the breeding does not have any red flags.
As for Tempe, we have an ultrasound done around day 28 after ovulation to confirm pregnancy. Then around a week before she is due we have an x-ray performed to see approximately how many puppies she is carrying. Then we wait for her and nature to take it's course.
Once born the puppies are weighed at least once a day to watch for any health issues. When the puppies are 3 days old we start "Early Neurological Stimulation" exercises. Then when they are about four weeks old we start them listening to a sound track of all kinds of sounds (vacuum cleaner, trains, cars, children laughing/crying, etc.) This "noise" helps them adjust later on to their surroundings. Each week, and most times daily, something new is introduced to them. Around seven weeks they will be temperament tested and their conformation evaluated to see how they will fit into their new homes. As the breeder, I will select the pup that is right for you and your family. We take our puppy buyer form seriously when trying to find the right fit between puppy and new owner.
Our puppies are all AKC registered, seen by our vet, vaccinated with their first shots and microchipped before they go to their forever homes. Buyers will have to sign a contract that we will furnish before pick up. The pups are sold on AKC Limited Registration and there are NO breeding rights. (Unless it is determined that the registration should be changed.)
Our dogs and our puppies live in the house with us. They are family and are treated as such.
